Recently opened, Union City's Drigon Dog Park has quickly established itself as one of the city's most popular recreational facilities.
Drigon Dog Park offers some of the best equipment available for our four-legged friends. These special features include: fake fire hydrants, doggie watering stations, scooper dispensers, a dog bone shaped walkway, dog jumps, dog tunnels and a dog climbing platform.
Drigon Dog Park has a small dog area designed for dogs weighing 29 lbs or less and a large dog area designed for dogs weighing 30 lbs or more. A small plaza area with benches is ideal for dog owners to sit and relax and enjoy watching their dog play off-leash.
Drigon Dog Park Rules
The SMALL DOG AREA is designated ONLY for dogs weighing 29 pounds or less.
The LARGE DOG AREA is designated ONLY for dogs weighing 30 pounds or more.
Dog owners/guardians MUST NOT us the Park if your dog(s) is aggressive towards people or other dogs, in heat, unruly or barks excessively. Dogs must be under voice control and accompanied by owners/guardians at all time.
All dogs must be at least 6 months of age, display current license and have current vaccinations for their own health and safety. No more than 3 dogs per owner/guardian allowed at one time in the Park.
Dog owners/guardians must arrive and depart the off-leash area with dogs on-leash. Dog owners/guardians are responsible and liable for the actions and behavior of their dog(s).
Dog owners/guardians and visitors use the Park at their own risk. The City of Union City is not responsible for injury or illness to dogs, owners/guardians or visitors.
Dog owners/guardians are required to clean up dog(s) droppings and dispose of in trash receptacles. Dog owners/guardians may be cited for not cleaning up droppings from their dog(s) in the Park for within the public right-of-way (U.C.M.C., CHAPTER 12.28).
Enjoy watching your dog(s) play off-leash, but please be sensitive to other owners/guardians and dogs that may not be as confident. Dog owners/guardians and their dog(s) must also respect the neighbors' privacy and right to a quiet neighborhood.
Should dog owners/guardians not adhere to Park Rules, the City reserves the right to close the Park.
The City of Union City reserves the right to close the Park as needed for maintenance and repair
