Union City Incentives

The City of Union City is offering a Business License Exemption program to attract targeted business and industrial uses that support diversification and the vibrancy of the industrial sector. Business license fees will be eliminated at the time of business license application for up to three (3) years for qualified businesses.

 Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Employment Development Department, State of California

To promote the hiring of individuals who qualify as a member of a target group. Tax credits up to $9,000 for employers who hire these workers.

Off-sets the cost of job training in high-performance workplaces. Reimbursements from $1,500 to $2,700 per trainee.

Eliminates a portion of sales taxes (4.19% ) for purchase of basic manufacturing equipment.
