Sergeant Camacho started his career with the Union City Police Department in 2006 after serving 6 years as an officer in South San Francisco. During his time with the Union City Police Department, he has been a Motor Officer in the Traffic Unit, an Assistant Team Leader on the SWAT Team, the Sniper Team Leader, Field Training Officer, Patrol Corporal, Patrol Sergeant and currently assigned as the Sergeant of the Community Oriented Policing & Problem Solving (COPPS) Unit. The COPPS Unit Sergeant oversees the entire unit, including the Union Landing Officers and the Logan School Resource Officer. Sergeant Camacho and his wife purchased their home in Union City in 2015. When he’s not at work, you can usually find Sergeant Camacho at the CrossFit gym he and his wife co-own. Sergeant Camacho has competed in the CrossFit Games world championship competition 7 times and placed 13th overall in the 50-54 year old division in 2015. Officer Lanier started his service with the Union City Police Department community in January 2011. Officer Lanier is currently assigned to the Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving Unit (C.O.P.P.S) and has collateral duties as a Field Training Officer (FTO), Crisis Intervention Team Officer (CIT), Crime Scene Investigator (CSI), and a Hostage Negotiation Team member (HNT). Officer Rodriguez joined the Union City Police Department in 2009. After three years of working Patrol, Ofc. Rodriguez joined the C.O.P.P.S Unit in 2013. Officer Rodriguez has been part of the Crime Scene Investigations Unit (CSI) since 2010. Officer Rodriguez is also fluent in Spanish and Italian. Crystal Raine begins her career with Union City PD in a new position, as a Community Resource Coordinator after serving 4 1/2 years as a coordinator for the Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS) Unit at BART PD. Crystal is the staff liaison for the Neighborhood Watch (NW) and Crime Free (CF) Programs. She will be assisting with organizing those meetings, outreach events and as a member of the social media team. Her experience includes: Crimes Scene Investigation (CSI) Training, Crime Prevention through Environmental Design(CPTED), coordination for homeless encampment abatement and resource outreach for special need groups (Ex.: mental health , homeless , veterans) and Crisis Intervention Training( CIT).
